Gastronomers’ Guide, Adventures in Gastronomy is a blog created by Joseph Erdos who was inspired by the writings of Herve This, a French physical chemist who is better known as the father of molecular gastronomy. Joseph writes of his blog, “with this site, I celebrate the world of gastronomy in both the simple and elegant forms, from basic home cooking to elaborate restaurant cuisine. My aim is to teach, entertain, and expand the reader’s/eater’s fundamental experience with food into the extraordinary by exploring science, history, culture, cooking, dining, and eating.”
Aglio, Olio & Peperoncino was created by a young Italian American woman, Eleonora, living in Rome who shares her experiences with food, wine, travel and more. Her blog has some great recipes from really simple ones like, honey mustard broiled salmon to more adventurous ones like stewed baby octopus.
Boston’s Take on Atlanta is a blog created by a native North Ender and foodie, Alexis Cervasio Courtney, who relocated to Atlanta from the North End and is still making the adjustment from pasta to peaches. Her blog is entertaining, informative and full of great tips and recipes.
Someday Gourmet is a food blog created by two North End residents, Lucie Wicker and Jackie Strycharz. They cover restaurant dining, cooking, shopping, wine and more. Check out their blog for local tips, restaurant reviews and recipes.

Beyond Salmon is one of our go to blogs for recipes and information on cooking fish. Helen Rennie is a cooking instructor based in the Boston area. Her blog provides great information on how to buy, store and cook fish. And like us, Helen left her office job to pursue her passion for food!
